YMIA had three campuses in Chennai,
Gokhale Hall
Gokhale Hall in Armenian Street, Broadway Chennai is a famous campus now not in use for major repairs. A question that is still unresolved is whether to retain the old building by spending money on major repairs annually or to construct a new building in the same campus.
Besant Memorial Building
Besant Memorial Building, also known “New India Building” where Dr.Annie Besant established a printing press and published New India Periodical. A beautiful statue of Dr.Annie Besant is at the entrance, also this is the registered office of YMIA situated at the following address No.49, Moore Street, II lane beach, Chennai- 600001.The facility here has a library, gymnasium, Table tennis and also commercial activities like Karate, Boxing, Carom, Chess. It also has some commercial complexes.
YMIA Mylapore
In south Chennai in about 1acre land established by Dr.Annie Besant for the benefit of the people of South Chennai ,where there is an auditorium and youth hostel for young men who come from all over Tamil Nadu for their professional training and development in Chennai. There are about 160 young men now staying in this campus which has a commercial building and this is also the administrative office of YMIA.
